Our weekly travel show Wish You Were Queer on Travel Radio is packed with loads of information and tips on LGBTQ+ travel.
In week 4, our host Jamie Greaves gives us his personal, first-hand review of 2021’s Gran Canaria Winter Pride event and we also provide information all about New Zealand’s largest pride festival in Aukland, our chosen Proud Package destination.
We are throwing the spotlight on where’s hot to travel and not so hot to travel as a queer person. In week 4, ranking in the Bottom spot for poor LGBTQ+ legislation, practices and controversial bills, we have Ghana, Texas and Barbados. And on Top, our gay-friendly travel destinations included areas in Malta, Chicago, Illinois and Sweden.

In the Hotseat, we had Stuart Haseley-Nejrup, Head of Customer Experience at Birmingham airport. Stuart is also a proud parent of two adopted sons along with his husband and he has a very interesting, extensive and varied life in travel. In the interview, the discussion turns to the anxiety that can come with travelling as a same-sex couple with children, and Stuart shares some really interesting advice on how the travel industry can adapt to become more inclusive and representative. Is the travel industry doing enough to support LGBTQ+ communities?
